Problem


While working on a return you notice an E-File Regulatory Processing Error at the bottom of the return.



Generally the problem appears to be caused by return imported from 2011



Solution


RedGear is currently requesting that these returns be sent to them for investigation.


  1. From the "Clients" check the client that is having the error
  2. Click the wrench in the upper right corner

  3. Select "Export Clients"
  4. Save the file to a location on your hard drive ans set the key as "password" (without quotes)
  5. Email the file to exports@redgeartech.com


Temporary Workaround

As a temporary work around, some users have found that one of the following two solutions usually worked


I.   Simply create a new client and process the return


II.  Remove and re-add the state using the steps below:
    1. Click on the [ +/- ] tab
    2. Un-check all States
    3. Finished completing the entire return (including state witholding)
    4. Once you are finished, click on the [ +/- ] tab again
    5. Re-check the States required
    6. E-File the return
