Running the proforma process will migrate common data from the previous tax year software to the current year.  It is suggested that this be performed wither by the preparer before starting the new tax return or once an appointment has been confirmed with the client.  It is not recommended to proforma all clients from the previous year as this will cause excessive data growth.  This data growth can lead to slower server performance, larger backups and other issues.


  1. Click 'Utilities > Proforma...'
  2. Select your client from the window on the left*
  3. Click [Select ->]
  4. Click [Proforma]
  5. Click [Done] once proforma has completed

The new tax return should automatically open.

Multiple Clients
  1. Hold [CTRL] on the keyboard and click on each client to proforma
  2. Click [Select ->]
  3. Click [Proforma]
  4. Click [Done] once proforma has completed

Range of Clients
  1. Click the first client
  2. Hold [SHIFT] on the keyboard
  3. Click on the last client
  4. Click [Select ->]
  5. Click [Proforma]
  6. Click [Done] once proforma has completed
